Chestnut Cottage is a lovely terraced holiday home tucked just a short stroll from the beach in Bridlington, East Riding of Yorkshire. With handy roadside parking right outside, it’s an ideal base for families or friends keen to enjoy some time by the sea, with sandy stretches and local sights close at hand.
Step inside and you’ll find a bright, open-plan living space designed for spending time together. The kitchen comes fully kitted out with everything you’ll need to rustle up tasty meals, which you can share around the dining table with the whole group. Afterwards, settle into the sitting area for a relaxed evening in front of the TV, the perfect way to wind down and enjoy each other’s company.
Upstairs, there are three comfortable bedrooms waiting for you at the end of the day. Two doubles offer a warm welcome, while the third is a roomy twin, giving you the flexibility to suit your party’s needs. Each room is smartly presented, offering a peaceful place to recharge after a day out and about.
To the front of the property, a private patio with gravel and seating invites you to enjoy a cuppa in the morning or something chilled as the sun sets. The seaside resort of Bridlington lies on the east coast of Yorkshire, south of Scarborough and Filey. Two award-winning beaches of golden sand stretch out on either side of the historic harbour, bustling with activity. Beautifully designed promenades provide everything from fun-fairs to quiet places where you can sit and watch the world go by.
Shops, attractions, restaurants and the historic 'Old Town' of Bridlington offer a fascinating contrast to life on the beach, where the latest Dad's Army has been filmed, whilst the Bridlington Spa Theatre on the front provides evening entertainment. There is also the East Riding Leisure Centre, with family swimming area and a variety of other indoor activities.
Further afield are the picturesque villages and scenery of the Yorkshire Wolds, the neighbouring resorts of Filey, Scarborough and Whitby and the spectacular heritage coastline. There are numerous places to visit in the area, including Bempton's RSPB bird sanctuary, Sewerby Hall, Danes Dyke and Flamborough Head with its cliffs and caves.
