Sea's The Day is a charming holiday home situated in the coastal town of Filey, North Yorkshire. With the beach, local amenities, and a train station just a short stroll away, this retreat, complete with off-road parking and welcoming two well-behaved dogs, is perfect for families or friends. Upon entering the property, you'll be greeted by an inviting sitting room, complete with a TV and two plush sofas, perfect for unwinding after a day of seaside adventures.
The heart of the home is undoubtedly the kitchen/diner, fully-equipped for all your culinary needs with a built-in electric oven and microwave as well as electric hobs. Make the most of this by cooking up a storm and plating it up on the dining table. In the mornings, come together at the breakfast bar to plan the day's adventure whilst your hands are around a warm coffee.
If the weather is kind and the sun is out, then be sure to dine alfresco on the garden table and chairs in the private patio garden. Wash your dinner down with a drink as you lie back on the outside corner sofa. When it's time to retire for the evening, choose from three inviting bedrooms: a king-size double, a double and a twin with a TV for those lazy mornings, all thoughtfully decorated to provide a serene space to rest.

Set in the magnificent Filey Bay, Filey is a traditional English seaside resort with a friendly atmosphere, offering a restful holiday, making it an ideal place to stay for walkers and wildlife watchers at any time of the year. Filey Brigg is a low headland that protects Filey Bay and provides good bird watching and seawatching opportunities all year round.
The 400 ft high Bempton Cliffs (RSPB Reserve) to the south of Filey Bay are home to over 250,000 seabirds in the summer. The town itself seems almost caught in a time warp, retaining much of its character with individual shops, narrow paths and ginnels and there is a slipway where local fishermen keep their boats, plus delightful beach chalets that can be hired through the summer months.
The bay is edged with two promenades and there are various gardens, where brass bands play on a Sunday afternoon. This small town is family orientated and there are loads of family activities such as Alpamare UK waterpark, Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park and the Filey Dams Nature Reserve, a wetland reserve where all kinds of common and rare birdlife can be seen.
A short drive brings you to the busier town of Scarborough where you will find great beaches, a castle, the Rotunda Museum and the acclaimed Sea Life Centre. Other towns worth visiting close to Filey include Bridlington, Whitby, Hornsea and Saltburn, which all demonstrate the vibrancy of this picturesque North Yorkshire region.
