The kitchen/diner is well-equipped for preparing meals, with space to come together and plan upcoming adventures, while an external utility adds extra convenience for longer stays. The three bedrooms provide versatile sleeping arrangements, including a king size, a bunk room, and a single with a truckle bed, making the layout suitable for a range of group types.

A bathroom with a bath and shower over, along with a heated towel rail, completes the interior. Outside, the enclosed garden is filled with wildflowers and features a patio with furniture, offering a pleasant spot to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside, where sheep are often seen passing through the village.

A shed provides secure bike storage, ideal for those keen to make the most of the local cycling routes. Within a short stroll, guests will find a shop and pub, while a nearby river enhances the setting. Goathland is also known for its heritage steam railway station, famously used in the first Harry Potter film, along with its traditional village appeal.

Further afield, Whitby offers attractions such as Whitby Abbey, the harbour, and sandy beach, while Pickering provides access to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Pickering Castle, and local markets. Robin Hood’s Bay is another popular destination, with coastal walks, rock pooling, and historic streets to explore.

Note: Use of tools or equipment in the workshop/cycle storage area is entirely at users own risk, no liability whatsoever will be incurred by the property owner for any injuries sustained as a result of use of tools or equipment kept in this part of the property. Note: In Goathland the sheep are allowed to wander freely please ensure gate to the property are kept closed at all times to ensure dogs don't get out and sheep don't get into the garden. Note: Please bring your own torch as Goathland is a "dark sky place" being part of the North York Moors National Park and the street lighting is at a lower level than other towns/cities and is very dark at night.  Some local footpath's are uneven and many are littered with sheep excrement due to the permitted free roaming of sheep in the area.

About the Goathland area

The idyllic village of Goathland is set on the north eastern edge of the North York Moors National Park. It is surrounded by the rugged open moorlands which provide excellent walking country and on which sheep graze freely. The village has been popularised by the television programme Heartbeat. At the bottom of the village lies the station for the famous North York Moors Steam Railway.

Here you can catch a train to Whitby or Pickering and relax as the train winds its way through the moors. Goathland is within easy reach of the East Coast towns of Whitby, Staithes, Robin Hoods Bay and Scarborough, making it a great holiday base.
