Crisp interiors contrast with the characterful, original wooden beamed ceilings and traditional cottage feel to create a stylish stay for a family of four. Spend your time away exploring the nearby cycle routes, walking trails, and charming countryside villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. In the evenings, you can relax in front of the fire and tuck into a home-cooked meal with your loved ones in the dining room or garden.
Inside the period cottage, you’ll find a welcoming lounge with wooden furnishings and a wooden beamed ceiling. Put your feet up on the sofa or armchair in front of a movie while the wood burner warms your toes. Continue into the open-plan kitchen/diner with a wooden beamed ceiling to find another wood burner, a dining table in the centre of the room, and a sofa to one side of the space.
On the opposite side of the room is a compact one-wall kitchen and an adjoining utility space. Climb the stairs and move past the recessed area with an armchair and bookcase to find two en-suite super-king-size bedrooms. Outside are expansive grounds with an enclosed orchard plus a seating area with a BBQ.
While staying in the village of Burton Leonard, you can enjoy a stroll around A Bright Prospect Garden and enjoy the conveniently close local pub and sandwich shop (all within 0.5 miles). Check out the nearby historic Ripley Castle (8 miles) and visit the museums, eateries and RHS Garden in the spa town of Harrogate (11.
5 miles). Head into the Yorkshire Dales National Park (8 miles) to find Druid’s Temple (17.5 miles) and the National Trust’s Brimham Rocks (14 miles).
