Allow the chef of the group to get acquainted in the kitchen, appointed with all the mod cons required for a short break, including a large range cooker with gas hob. Spend your down time in the sitting room, featuring exposed beams and a woodburning stove, this is a lovely spot to reflect on the day's events and catch up on some TV.
Step outside to find the enclosed garden, complete with a set of tables and chairs with a barbecue area. Scalby, a lovely village about 2.5 miles from Scarborough, is a popular coastal resort. With a tavern, two local shops, a quaint tea room, a hairdressers, and a beauty salon, the village centre, with its stone cottages and Victorian houses, offers adequate services. It makes the ideal site to stay, surrounded by rolling hills and lovely countryside, with thousands of hectares of moors and forest, several public pathways, and the well-known Scalby Beck, which weaves its way to the ocean.
Local produce is sold in a weekly farmers market hosted in the grounds of St. Lawrence's Church Rooms. Scalby is a delightful hideaway after a busy day out, with Scarborough's superb, sandy beaches, good restaurants, and vibrant town centre right on the doorstep!
