Part of a Grade II listed farm, The Barn provides a semi rural yet convenient base for exploring the surrounding areas of West Yorkshire.

Ample off-road parking for two cars awaits your arrival before you enter into this homely property, being welcomed into the open-plan living space. A modern fitted kitchen is complete with all the essential appliances, so you can rustle up tasty dishes to enjoy at the dining table. Relax on the sofa and enjoy a film on the Smart TV with surround sound to enhance the experience, while the floor-to-ceiling window which offer views into the neighbouring fields sheds plenty of natural light.

Freshen up in the shower room after a busy day of activities before getting settled in the double bedroom, with fitted oak storage to unpack your belongings. Situated close to locations featured in the TV series Happy Valley, Last Tango in Halifax and Gentleman Jack, The Barn provides a great base for walkers and cyclists, close to the Pennine Way and numerous moorland walks.

Enjoy getting to know the quaint hamlet of Norland, home to a friendly community - If you're visiting in September, enjoy seeing the Scarecrow Festival where villagers display scarecrows with a different theme each year to raise money for community endeavors and causes. The beautiful Norland Moor is well-loved by the residents of Norland, located near to The Barn and offering a peaceful and scenic walking area on your doorstep, with the Calderdale Way passing over the moor providing easy access to longer rambles.

The nearby market town of Sowerby Bridge can answer all your needs for shops, pubs and restaurants, with two rivers, Calder and Ryburn, meeting here offering more scenic walking spots, as well as the Rochdale Canal running through the town too. Venture north up to Bronte country to visit the village of Haworth, home to the Bronte Parsonage Museum and the Worth Valley Railway too.

Hebden Bridge is a popular spot to visit, with craft shops, unique boutiques and several art galleries, along with a bohemian atmosphere and lots of eateries. Pass through Mytholmroyd, home to the late poet Ted Hughes, or explore a little further to the hamlet of Heptonstall where his wife Sylvia Plath was buried.

Visit the market town of Halifax with it's Grade 1 listed and unique Piece Hall, Britain's oldest remaining cloth hall, or call at Shibden Hall, the 600 year old timber house and former home of Anne Lister. The northern area of the Peak District National Park is around a 30-minute drive away, with scenic reservoirs, walking trails and waterfalls to discover.
