Escape to the coast with a stay at this beautifully characterful Grade II-listed property in the seaside village of Staithes. Retaining many of its original features, each room is sure to charm you, from the exposed beams to the feature fireplaces. What’s more, the seafront is only 100 metres away from your doorstep where you can head off for an invigorating walk and soak in the serenity of the local area.
As you step through the door, you’ll be greeted by the cosy kitchen/diner with bench-style seating and country styling. A small staircase will guide you downstairs into the living room where a selection of seating awaits in the tastefully styled room where you can unwind with your loved ones whilst watching a film on the TV.
Back upstairs on the first floor are the first two bedrooms, a neutrally styled double and a playful bunk room ideally suited to children. Finally, the master bedroom sits on the second floor, boasting an en-suite shower room and sea views. Outside is a quaint courtyard with a bench for seating. Travel south along the coast and you’ll find the beaches of Whitby (10 miles), of which Tate Hill and Upgang Beach welcome dogs all year round for a family day out.
From Whitby, you could also join a stretch of the Cleveland Way to Robin Hood’s Bay which stretches for around 7 miles passing sights such as Whitby Abbey and a number of interesting lighthouses. Pay a visit to Goathland (18 miles) and you can hop aboard the iconic North Yorkshire Moors Railway service and soak up the scenery in ultimate comfort.
