Arriving at Nick Jone, guests step from the roadside onto a gravelled entrance bordered by neatly planted greenery, where the hum of the countryside and birdsong set the tone for a peaceful stay. The garden furniture invites slow mornings with coffee or relaxed evenings as the sun melts behind the hills.
Inside, the open-plan living space unfolds across cool tiled flooring, where a rug softens the sitting area beneath leather sofas, perfect for sinking into after a day’s adventure. The farm-style kitchen, with its wooden fixtures and neatly laid table for four, encourages shared meals and laughter over evening games.

The pretty, ever-popular village of Reeth rests at the northern tip of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, where Arkengarthdale and Swaledale meet, nestled between Calver Hill, Fremington Edge and Harkerside. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with lovely rolling hills and spectacular views, Reeth boasts a colourful history as it was originally a Saxon settlement, and has also been known as a lead mining town and a centre for hand knitting throughout its time.
Both trades are proudly featured in the Swaledale Museum, located alongside a good range of shops, tea rooms and restaurants. For a quaint little community, Reeth is well-served by traditional inns, with three to choose from, including the lovely Buck Hotel, whitewashed like so many of the 18th century cottages huddled around the triangular village green.
The historic market towns of Richmond and Leyburn are also within easy reach, offering a further selection of amenities. Askrigg is just a short drive away, as well as Aysgarth Falls, Semerwater and Hardraw Force (England's highest single drop waterfall at 99ft).
