A traditional end-terrace cottage, overlooking the coast on the edge of the village of Marske-by-the-Sea. With original character features, this coastal cottage is perfect for families to enjoy, with a superb sandy beach just a stones throw away. Once inside the cottage, you enter a spacious sitting room with original bay windows, offering fantastic views of the beach, and a feature brick fireplace with electric stove; ideal to relax in front of after a full day out and about, as well as a dining table to use for family meals together.
From here you can then get to the well-equipped kitchen with views looking out onto the back allotments. Upstairs there are two good sized bedrooms and a family bathroom with underfloor heating. To the front of the house there is an elevated patio area with furniture, making it an ideal place to sit and relax enjoying the great views of the beach.
The cottage is a short walk from the old fishing village of Marske-by-the-Sea with a good selection of local shops and pubs which cater for all the family, plus the safe and sandy beaches for a great day out with a picnic. A little further along the shore lies the old spa town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, with its pretty ornamental gardens, historic cliff lift and long pier.
Nearby are attractions such as Captain Cook's birthplace, the Zetland Lifeboat Museum and the mining museum, whilst the stunning scenery of the North York Moors is close by. There are numerous pretty inland villages and fishing villages including Staithes and Runswick Bay to enjoy as well as the coastal town of Whitby.
