About the Marske-by-the-Sea area

The small, bustling coastal village of Marske-by-the-Sea was originally a fishing village and now offers shops, pubs, a long, wide sandy beaches, dunes and a harbour. Maritime attractions in the area are plentiful, such as the birthplace of Captain Cook and the Zetland Lifeboat Museum. For those more interested in the region's industrial past the Mining Museum is also close by and provides an insight into what life was like in Yorkshire during the industrial revolution.
